This web page features representative publicity images for each of the remaining [x91] schemes submitted to the first phase of the Re-Imagining the Garden City Design Ideas Competition. Schemes are featured in sequential order of the Unique Registration Number [L#] issued to applicants to maintain anonymity during the Phase One Adjudication process.
The Heritage Foundation and Adjudication Panel were extremely pleased by the level of interest shown in the project, the general high quality of the submission material and the varied and interesting ideas developed in response to the challenges set by the Competition Brief. Panel members acknowledged the multi-faceted nature of the challenge that competitors had been set, and the importance of appreciating that the first phase of the competition was seeking design ideas and masterplan concepts that could be developed further during the second phase of the competition.
